The NCS
scanner transfers data from scan sheets to
the hard drive of a workstation
attached to the scanner. The data is
stored in a SDF (Scanned Data
Format) file. The SDF file is
then processed using a data
conversion program which produces a
printed summary report and an NCS
Output file. All response fields, except
the name area, are converted into
numeric output. The format of the
output file is shown in the printed
report. If you wish to begin
programming before your
scanning is completed, the formats
of the SDF and the NCS Output files
are shown under the links above.
Remember: this information is ONLY
for the NCS Red Scanner form. Use
only the format for the form you
turned in; using the wrong format
will produce errors.
